LPN, Acute Med Surge Float in Cookeville, Tennessee at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

This position is responsible for providing nursing care utilizing the nursing process within an assigned unit; observes, assesses, treats and cares for patients demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process. Oversees the work of non-licensed personnel. Employee will be expected to float to Med/Surg departments throughout the hospital as deemed necessary by Nursing Supervisor.

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Associates degree required

Minimal two years experience with one being acute care

IV Qualified required

BLS required upon hire or during orientation

ACLS required within one year of hire

PALS required within one year of hire (5N)

FIM Certification within one year of hire (Rehab)

Quality Measure Certificatoin to be completed with one year of hire (Intermediate Units)
