The Psychometrist Manager plays a critical role at Piece by Piece by managing a team of psychometrists while also carrying a small testing caseload. They are responsible for administering and scoring neuropsychological and psychological tests. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results as well as optimizing current workflows and ensuring adherence to standardized testing. The Psychometrist Manager will report to the Clinical Director and collaborate closely with the Clinic Manager, maintaining direct communication with key members of the operations team.

This role is primarily managerial, with 50% or less of their time spent on clinical cases. The Psychometrist Manager will carry a caseload of at least 1 case per week with the majority of their time spent managing the psychometrist team and administrative tasks. They are responsible for managing the psychometrist/technician team including hiring, training, reviews/audits, supervision, scheduling, protocol inventory management, IT assistance, administrative support and regular meetings with other department leads.

This is a full-time position and currently open only at our Oak Brook location with all hours on-site. The client population for this position/location is children, teens, adults and older adults and therefore, the ideal candidate will have experience working with these populations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
• Certification or training in psychometric testing and neuropsychological assessment.
• Experience administering and scoring psychological and neuropsychological tests.
• Experience training in neuropsychological test administration and scoring.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques to keep patients engaged in the testing process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related discipline.
• Certification from recognized psychometrist professional organizations.
• Previous experience as a lead psychometrist or psychometrist manager.
• Experience managing a team of 5 or more.

Responsibilities:

• Administer standardized neuropsychological and psychological assessments to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Score test results accurately, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Assist with report writing, including background information and summaries of test scores.
• Management of the psychometric team that includes training, reviews, scheduling, and inventory management.

Skills:

The Psychometrist Manager has strong interpersonal, management, and multitasking skills as well as administers and scores complex neuropsychological tests accurately. Effective communication skills are essential for explaining procedures to patients and collaborating with the licensed clinician. Behavior management skills aids in recognizing patient responses during assessments and testing stressors for that patient that may be a barrier to testing. Overall, these skills combine to enable the Psychometrist Manager to lead a team of trained psychometrists, train new hires and monitor for quality assurance while also carrying a small caseload.

Compensation is commensurate with experience, education, per caseload and administrative duties as assigned $30-40 based on experience and certifications.

Physical and Work Requirements

This role requires the ability to conduct testing sessions that may last several hours, maintain focus and attention to detail for extended periods, and sit for prolonged durations. Occasional lifting and organization of testing materials (up to 25 lbs.) may be required.
