Job Description

The Commercial Immune Cells Sales Director is responsible for developing and managing account relationships with identified strategic customers to drive growth across BioIVT’s Immune Cells Products and Services portfolio. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, identifying customer needs, and presenting tailored solutions across immune cell products, cell sourcing, characterization services, and related research applications. The Commercial Immune Cells Director will be directly responsible for driving sales, including prospecting, pipeline development, deal closure, account strategy, customer satisfaction, and incremental revenue growth across assigned strategic accounts.

This includes, but is not limited to, developing deep customer knowledge, understanding partnership opportunities, defining strategic growth opportunities, and driving results through strong communication, customer support, contract negotiation, account management, and progressive business development that supports sustained annual growth in BioIVT’s Immune Cells Products and Services business.

This role is an important member of the North American Sales Leadership Team and must have the commercial judgment, drive, and interpersonal skills to succeed in a fast-paced, transformational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with strategic customer partners and internal BioIVT stakeholders to build and maintain long-term partnerships across a portfolio of assigned accounts, consistent with BioIVT’s long-term account strategy.
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing Immune Cells Products and Services solutions that meet their scientific and business objectives.

  • Maintain and continuously enhance technical knowledge of immune cell product lines, cell sourcing capabilities, characterization services, and related market applications while consistently monitoring and communicating customer insights, market trends, and competitive activity.
  • Develop a business plan for each assigned account; monitor and report progress; and develop and implement tactics to exceed sales and margin goals. Take corrective action when needed to ensure goals are met.
  • Provide timely and accurate demand forecasting, anticipating changes based on customer needs, donor availability, custom collection requirements, and product/service demand.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level sales presentations and conduct business reviews with clearly defined action plans to drive mutual accountability with customers.
  • Work with Operations, Client Services, Product Management, and Scientific Affairs to align customer needs with appropriate immune cell products, custom collections, inventory planning, and service capabilities.
  • Resolve customer issues, address complaints, and coordinate internal follow-up to maintain trust and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers, acting upon final approval from the Regional Sales Leader in partnership with Finance and Commercial Contracts teams.
  • Gain new contracts and drive associated activities to implement account strategies, influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Use strong negotiation skills to close business that delivers value-added immune cell products and services to customers and supports profitable sales growth.

In addition, other duties may be assigned as the need arises.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline, Business, Marketing, or related field required; advanced scientific degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of proven sales or business development success in life sciences, with at least three years of key account management experience.
  • Experience selling immune cell products, biospecimens, cell sourcing services, cell therapy research tools, or related biologics solutions into pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or academic research customers preferred.
  • Strong track record of leading laterally, building relationships, and influencing without authority to accomplish business initiatives on behalf of customers.
  • Proven success managing large accounts, strategic customer relationships, and segments of business.

  • Solid organizational skills, with experience drafting and negotiating various types of contracts.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite and commercial systems, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Salesforce.com.
  • Working knowledge of immune cell applications such as cell therapy, immuno-oncology, autoimmune and inflammatory disease research, immunotoxicology, biologics development, or related translational research areas preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time.
