Job Description
EHTC is seeking a Tax Processor to join our Tax Practice. This role supports the efficient preparation, assembly, filing, and delivery of tax returns and related client documents while helping ensure critical deadlines and workflow milestones are met throughout the year.
The Tax Processor serves as an important member of our Tax Operations team, working closely with tax professionals, firm leadership, and clients to support tax compliance activities, document management, workflow tracking, and client communications. This position plays a key role in maintaining the systems, processes, and organization necessary to deliver high-quality client service during both busy season and throughout the year.
This role provides the opportunity to develop expertise in tax workflow and processing systems, support a variety of tax engagements, collaborate with professionals across the firm, and contribute to the continued growth and success of EHTC's Tax Practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and process tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, fiduciaries, trusts, and other entity types.
- Prepare tax extensions, estimated tax payments, engagement letters, tax organizers, and other client deliverables.
- Manage electronic filing of tax returns and extensions while maintaining accurate filing records and documentation.
- Review tax returns, instruction sheets, and related documents for completeness and accuracy prior to delivery.
- Generate invoices and support billing processes as directed.
- Maintain accurate workflow status updates within firm systems and databases.
- Monitor return progress and assist in meeting departmental deadlines and filing requirements.
- Maintain client information and documentation across various firm systems, including SafeSend, GoFileRoom, PP365, SurePrep, Engagement, and UltraTax.
- Assist clients with document intake, document delivery, client portal access, and software-related questions.
- Prepare correspondence, memorandums, reports, and other administrative documents as assigned.
- Distribute completed tax returns, filings, and related client communications.
- Respond to client inquiries and assist in resolving questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with partners, managers, and staff to support tax engagements and client service initiatives.
- Assist with annual rollover processes, special projects, and department initiatives.
- Provide support to other administrative and operational functions as needed during peak periods.

Requirements:- High school diploma required; associate's degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of administrative, tax processing, accounting support, or professional services experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong client service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and firm information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a public accounting, tax, legal, financial services, or professional services environment.
- Experience with tax preparation, tax processing, document management, or workflow systems.
- Familiarity with UltraTax, GoRS, SafeSend, GoFileRoom, SurePrep, Practice Management 365, or other Thomson Reuters products.
- Experience supporting client-facing administrative processes and document delivery workflows.
