This position will coordinate activities the Claude D. Pepper Community Research Connection. This individual will help the PI design an application for the Community Research Connection registries, serve as the liaison to help interested investigators, and assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for participants and senior living facilities interested in participating in clinical research.

Incumbent provides general services in clinical research settings and field screening in the long-term care facilities. Incumbent will have experience in clinical research, particularly with the geriatric population. The incumbent will be working in the community at Nursing Homes and Senior Living Facilities where they will interact with the staff, medical directors, and family members/legal guardians of the residents. The Incumbent will maintain the highest quality standards related to the implementation of research protocols, including managing informed consent, data management and basic reporting.

Job Summary

Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Recruits research subjects and conducts interviews and research assessments.

Essential Functions

• Assists with and adheres to IRB renewal, modification, and approved protocols.
• Recruits research subjects. Conducts research interviews in-person or via telephone while adhering to all applicable protocols. Completes research assessments on study participants.
• Maintains databases in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to all applicable protocols and regulations.
• Assists with training new personnel as directed.
• Assists with study assessments administration as directed.

Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Hiring Range: $33,150 to $43,000/yr based on qualifications
