Job Description

Lead FP&A & Strategic Finance Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead FP&A & Strategic Finance Analyst based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of strategic finance, data analytics, and go-to-market performance, supporting a high-growth, product-led technology environment. You will act as a trusted partner to Finance and GTM leadership, helping translate complex business data into clear, actionable insights that guide decision-making. The role is highly analytical and hands-on, with ownership of core FP&A processes including headcount planning, departmental spend, and operating rhythms. You will also play a key role in improving forecasting accuracy, KPI visibility, and financial discipline across the organization. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams, you will help connect financial outcomes to operational drivers. This is a builder-style role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys working deeply with data, and wants to shape scalable finance systems in a fast-moving environment.

Accountabilities:

You will own and evolve core FP&A processes and act as a key driver of financial clarity across the business. This includes leading planning cycles, building scalable models, and partnering with GTM leaders to improve performance visibility.

  • Own headcount forecasting, hiring plans, and ongoing workforce spend tracking across the organization
  • Lead departmental budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and budget vs. actual reporting
  • Monitor operating expenses, identify financial risks and opportunities, and partner with stakeholders to drive corrective actions
  • Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and recurring reporting used by leadership for decision-making
  • Support GTM analytics, including pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, and revenue performance insights
  • Own commission and incentive plan design, calculation, and administration for GTM teams
  • Develop scalable reporting frameworks and operating cadences that improve financial accountability
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business activity into financial impact and actionable insights
Requirements

This role requires strong FP&A fundamentals combined with advanced analytical capability and a proactive, investigative mindset. You should be comfortable working directly with data, partnering with senior stakeholders, and operating in a fast-changing environment.

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, business operations, or analytical finance roles
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, headcount planning, and variance analysis
  • Experience supporting GTM organizations with KPI reporting, pipeline analytics, and revenue forecasting
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis
  • Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills and strong command of presentation tools (Google Slides, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to connect operational drivers to financial outcomes and clearly communicate insights
  • Strong business partnering skills across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance
  • Experience building scalable reporting systems, dashboards, and decision-support tools
  • Comfort using AI tools to accelerate analysis while maintaining accuracy and judgment
  • High intellectual curiosity with a preference for deep-dive, root-cause analysis over surface-level reporting
  • Ability to thrive in high-growth, ambiguous environments where processes are still evolving
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary range of $150,000–$165,000 USD, with additional equity and bonus eligibility
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility across the United States (preference for Eastern/Central time zones)
  • Equity participation for long-term alignment and growth
  • Flexible PTO and generous family leave policies
  • Friday time off in August for added rest and recharge
  • Monthly WiFi stipend to support remote work
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and insurance options (where applicable)
  • Professional development and learning resources
  • Stock options and long-term incentive opportunities
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and globally distributed team culture.
