Ellis Medicine is seeking an experienced Hospitalist to join our Hospital Medicine team at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Advanced Practitioner to become part of a well-established and collaborative Hospital Medicine program. The ideal candidate will be a confident, experienced clinician with strong multitasking and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced inpatient setting and enjoys working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
Position Highlights

- Day shift schedule
- 7 days on 7 days off

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized patients
- Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and healthcare team members
- Participate in care transitions and discharge planning
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and consulting services
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Demonstrate leadership, clinical judgment, and independent decision-making within scope of practice
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active New York State Medical License
- Active DEA Registration
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to high-quality inpatient care
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Prior Hospital Medicine experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $315,000-$325,8420 based on experience

- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above
