Job Description
Join our team as a Barista and help create an exceptional experience for our customers through quality beverages, outstanding service, and a clean, welcoming environment. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining cleanliness standards, and supporting daily café operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, espresso-based beverages, and other menu items according to company standards.
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
- Accurately process cash, credit card, and electronic transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, dining areas, and restrooms.
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and inventory as needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, and other operational duties as assigned.
- Promote menu offerings and answer customer questions regarding products.
- Work collaboratively with management and team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently use hands and arms to prepare beverages and operate equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work around hot equipment, hot liquids, and cleaning chemicals.
Employment Status:
This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible for overtime pay as required by applicable law.

Requirements:Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age or meet applicable legal age requirements.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle transactions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous barista, food service, retail, or customer service experience.
- Familiarity with espresso machines and coffee preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Availability Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
