Position Overview:
This position will be based out of our San Luis Obispo, CA location.

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our California team. Working under the direction of the lead Electrician on site, you'll gain hands-on experience across residential solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, and electrical service work. This role is ideal for someone early in their electrical career who is safety-focused and eager to grow in the renewable energy industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, assist, and support residential solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging installations under the direction of the lead Electrician on site.
• Support solar detach & reset (D&R) and reroof-related electrical work.
• Perform electrical tasks including wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC, conduit installation, panel and subpanel work, and equipment mounting.
• Work with the lead Electrician to ensure electrical trucks are outfitted with all necessary equipment for job completion.
• Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing solar, battery, and electrical issues as they arise.
• Ensure all work meets local electrical codes and company safety standards.
• Engage with customers professionally and deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and work in conjunction with other electricians to complete tasks efficiently, accurately, and to scope.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of electrical experience required
• Ability to work on a team and be coachable required
• Knowledge of basic electrical theory and Ohm's Law
• Able to size conductors and conduits using the NEC Code Book
• Knowledge in using hand tools, electrical meters, and testing equipment
• Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions, lift up to 60 pounds, and work at various heights and in tight spaces
• Solar, battery storage, or renewable energy experience preferred
• REQUIRED: Occasional travel to Ventura and LA Counties with overnight stays
• REQUIRED: Valid driver's license with a minimum of 9 years of driving experience, in accordance with PB insurance parameters — no exceptions. Must be able to pass an MVR check and background check.

Pay for this position is $21-$29 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime opportunities may be available depending on seasonality and business needs.
