Job Description
PM Mold is a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manufacturing world-class full service Mold manufacture and plastic injection molder.
The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing the production plan to satisfy customer demand.
As the coordinator between Operations, Purchasing, Order Administration and Program Management, this role takes into consideration sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations, and internal supply constraints to develop production plans. Reporting to the Plant Manager, in this role you will:
Requirements:- Provide strong collaboration with the Plant Manager, Operations, Program Management, Order Administration and Purchasing teams will be critical to meeting business goals.
- Control and monitor project schedules by effectively communicating across appropriate departments such as production, purchasing, quality assurance and warehouse as needed.
- Provide business teams, shipping, consolidation and order administration with lead-time and available promise dates for orders. Coordinate customer expedites and confirm shipments
- Create and publish a master production schedule in DELMIAWorks/IQMS
- Release work orders based on material availability and Customer Requested Ship Dates (CRSD) system requirements. Review sales forecasts, customer demands, min/max/customer inventory, and schedule production batches based on inventory levels and production lead times
- Work with Order Administration and the Plant Manager to establish production priorities.
- Manage schedules changes to determine materials and parts requirements to insure materials are available according to schedules
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling related reporting requirements to measure performance to plan. Report machine backlogs and production planning key metrics. Escalates any concerns regarding production status or delivery
- Manage monthly cycle counting process.
- Make recommendations to improve productivity and total product cycle time.
- Analyze and identify risks associated with the production schedule, including manufacturing lead times, material constraints, manpower availability, equipment utilization and customer expedites.
- Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as DELMIAWorks/IQMS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- At least five years of related experience required.
- Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES
- On time delivery, Lead Time
- Timely response to Order Administration on ship date confirmation (within 24hours)
- Production order accuracy, ensuring correct work centers, item numbers, BOM, routing and quantity
- If ship date changes provide new ship date before existing date is past
