Job Description

The Opportunity
We are seeking an Operations Tech to join our Drilling & Completions team, where this role will provide important day-to-day operational support by helping Engineers and Field Staff manage critical well data, documentation, reporting, and workflow needs within the Peloton software suite. In this position, you will support key Drilling, Completions, and Workover processes, including end-of-well documentation, Internal Well Proposal deliverables, Post Job lookbacks, data and cost tracking, and contract management support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working across multiple teams to ensure operational information is accurate, complete, and available when needed.

Location
This role is a hybrid position based out of our office in Morgantown, WV and will be expected work onsite in the office three days per week.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Perform daily checks of incoming field data to verify completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timely follow-up.
  • Support Engineers and Field Staff with day-to-day requests, troubleshooting, well setup, data tracking, and cost tracking within the Peloton software suite.
  • Compile deliverables for Internal Well Proposals by coordinating information with Land, Accounting, GIS, Engineering, Field Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate end-of-well documentation for Drilling, Completions, and Workover Operations across the company’s operating areas.
  • Develop Post Job summary presentations by compiling operational efficiency metrics, cost information, and key activity details.
  • Assist with the Operations team’s contract management process, including tracking documentation and supporting records management needs.
  • Maintain organized operational records, well files, reports, and supporting documentation to ensure information is accessible and complete.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, streamline workflows, and support more efficient operational reporting.
  • Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining professional, collaborative relationships with internal team members and stakeholders.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and ethical standards while contributing to team and organizational goals.
Your Background
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in petroleum technology, engineering technology, business, data management, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in oil and gas operations support, drilling and completions support, field data management, engineering support, or a related operational role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of drilling, completions, workover, and general oil and gas field operations.
  • Experience reviewing, validating, tracking, and summarizing operational data, cost information, field reports, or similar records.
  • Experience using Peloton or similar oil and gas operational, well data, reporting, cost tracking, or document management systems preferred.
  • Ability to prepare well files, end-of-well documentation, post-job summaries, internal proposal deliverables, and other technical or operational records.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation control, organization, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable compiling and presenting data in clear reports, summaries, and presentations; proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate across Engineering, Field Operations, Land, Accounting, GIS, Supply Chain, and other teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, support process improvements, and work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced operations environment.
