Location: This is a remote position.

Position Overview:

HBS Systems is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our so ware development teams. In this role, you'll own people management, planning, delivery, and the day-to-day mechanics of getting code from a developer's branch into a release build, across a ~15-person engineering organization plus external development partners, spanning our main application, database, OEM integrations, and data conversion teams. 3

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience managing so ware engineers (beyond tech lead roles), with demonstrated ownership of a team of 10 or more.
• Proven track record of developing junior so ware engineers and growing people through career levels.
• Experience managing an external development vendors or o shore/nearshore engineering partners.
• Strong delivery management fundamentals: Agile/sprint mechanics, release processes, and backlog management.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence is required.
• Hands-on comfort with Git and the Linux command line.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related eld, or equivalent practical experience.
