Oracle OSS Engineer in India at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Oracle OSS Engineer based in India.

This is an opportunity for an experienced telecom technology professional to support and enhance critical Oracle OSS platforms in a fully remote environment. You will contribute to service fulfillment across FTTx, 5G, mobile, and fixed-line services, helping ensure reliable and efficient network operations. The role combines platform administration, workflow configuration, integration, automation, and production support. You will collaborate closely with network, development, technical, and enterprise integration teams to solve complex operational challenges. Your work will directly contribute to service provisioning, order management, inventory management, and platform modernization. It is well suited to someone who enjoys solving technical problems, improving processes, and working on large-scale telecommunications environments.

• Configure, administer, maintain, and provide ongoing support for Oracle OSS platforms, including OSM, UIM, ASAP, SOM, and Design Studio.
• Design, implement, and maintain order management, service provisioning, and inventory workflows supporting telecom services.
• Develop and maintain integrations between OSS platforms, enterprise applications, and third-party systems.
• Build automation scripts and processes that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Support software releases, upgrades, deployments, and production implementation activities while maintaining service reliability.
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to meet agreed SLAs.
• Collaborate with network, development, technical, and integration teams to resolve complex platform and operational issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives covering OSS workflows, integrations, deployment processes, automation, and operational practices.
• Support broader OSS transformation, modernization, and large-scale telecommunications technology initiatives.

• 3+ years of professional experience in Oracle OSS application design, development, administration, or integration, with the broader role specification targeting experienced professionals.
• Hands-on experience with one or more Oracle OSS products, particularly OSM, UIM, ASAP, SOM, or Design Studio.
• Strong programming capabilities in at least one language such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL, ideally with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Solid understanding of telecom service fulfillment, order management, provisioning, and inventory processes.
• Familiarity with network management principles and network protocols, as well as enterprise application integration and system-to-system communication.
• Experience with production support, troubleshooting, release management, and root cause analysis.
• Exposure to OSS upgrades, transformation initiatives, automation, or DevOps practices is an advantage.
• Experience working in large-scale telecommunications environments is preferred.
• Good English communication skills, with B1+ proficiency or above.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with ownership, collaboration, adaptability, and a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
