Role Overview

The Relationship Abuse Prevention Program (RAPP) at Rising Ground is seeking a dedicated and skilled social worker to serve as a Hub Coordinator within our community-facing site in either Brooklyn, Queens or Harlem. This role focuses on providing education, counseling, and support to adolescents ages 12–18 on relationship abuse, gender-based violence, and healthy relationships.

During the academic year, the coordinator operates independently within the hub site. In the summer months, they actively participate in RAPP’s peer leadership training program for selected middle and high school students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and crisis counseling to youth
  • Facilitate community workshops and presentations
  • Develop and deliver trainings for school staff, parents, and the broader community
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and case files
  • Collaborate in the design and implementation of the RAPP summer Peer Leader program
  • Participate in regular individual and team supervision sessions
  • Potential opportunity to supervise MSW interns
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • Required: MSW or MHC required. If MSW, LMSW required within 6 months of hire
  • Strong clinical assessment and counseling skills
  • Knowledge of intimate partner violence, adolescent development, and trauma-informed care
  • Commitment to anti-oppressive, healing-centered practices
  • Experience working with diverse communities and populations
  • Ability to work independently with accountability, flexibility, and collaboration
  • Reflective practice and engagement in topics related to race, gender, oppression, and intersectionality

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full- time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday Hybrid at our Queens Hub and Far Rockaway Hub site location. Work hours options are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
