This role sits at the heart of a fast-paced managed services environment, acting as the highest technical escalation point for complex infrastructure and cloud challenges. You will take ownership of advanced client issues and lead the delivery of critical IT projects, including cloud migrations, deployments, and hybrid environment builds. Working across multiple clients and systems, you will ensure stability, performance, and security across diverse IT landscapes. The position blends deep technical troubleshooting with hands-on engineering and client-facing communication. You will collaborate closely with support teams and engineers to improve processes, share knowledge, and strengthen service delivery. This is a high-impact role where your expertise directly shapes client outcomes and infrastructure reliability.
In this role, you will act as a senior technical authority within the engineering and support organization, resolving escalated issues and leading the execution of infrastructure and cloud initiatives across multiple client environments.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues raised by NOC and support teams
- Lead and deliver client-facing infrastructure and cloud projects, including migrations, deployments, and system buildouts
- Manage and support Azure environments, including Azure AD (Entra ID), IaaS workloads, networking, and monitoring solutions
- Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Defender
- Collaborate directly with clients to communicate status updates, manage expectations, and resolve escalated technical concerns
- Contribute to post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives
- Support internal engineering efforts including tooling enhancements, documentation, and knowledge sharing
This position requires strong hands-on experience in managed services or multi-client IT environments, with deep technical expertise in cloud, infrastructure, and Microsoft ecosystems. The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, client-driven setting.
- 5+ years of hands-on IT experience, ideally within an MSP or multi-client environment
- Strong experience managing Azure environments in production (IaaS, Entra ID, Azure networking, Azure Monitor, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and core networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
- Experience with firewall administration, preferably SonicWall
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Defender)
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent client projects while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with client-facing experience
- Self-directed mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Additional strengths: Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305), PowerShell scripting, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), PSA/RMM tools, and ITIL or change management experience
