Job Description
The Learning Institute for Functional Education (L.I.F.E.) is seeking a passionate and motivated Mid-Level Supervisor who is committed to providing high-quality, ethical ABA services while supporting the growth and development of Behavior Technicians, clients, and families.
L.I.F.E. serves children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through evidence-based practices rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour DOE
Position level will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and caseload. The positions listed below are designated as Mid-Level roles.
ABT Trainee
- Compensation:
- $18-$23 per hour
- 4 paid holidays per year (Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)
- Requirements:
- RBT Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree and
- 12 Units of ABA & 1 year experience OR
- 2 years of ABA experience at LIFE (or equivalent)
- ABT Trainee Competencies
- Caseload Size: 8-15 Depending on Service Needs.
Advanced Behavior Technician I (ABT I)
- Compensation:
- $18-$24 per hour
- 4 paid holidays per year (Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)
- Requirements:
- RBT Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree and
- 12 Units of ABA & 1 year experience OR
- 2 years of ABA experience at LIFE (or equivalent)
- 6+ months of supervisory experience at LIFE (or equivalent)
- ABT I Competencies
- Caseload Size: 8-15 Depending on Service Needs.
Advanced Behavior Technician II (ABT II)
- Compensation:
- $24-$27 per hour
- 4 paid holidays per year (Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)
- Requirements:
- RBT Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree and
- 12 Units of ABA & 1 year experience OR
- 2 years of ABA experience at LIFE (or equivalent)
- ABT II Competencies
- Caseload Size: 8-15 Depending on Service Needs.
Program Supervisor (PS)
- Compensation:
- $27-$31 per hour
- 4 paid holidays per year
- Requirements:
- Enrolled in a Masters Program
- 2 years of supervisory experience at LIFE (or equivalent)
- Program Supervisor Competencies
- Caseload Size: 8-15 Depending on Service Needs.
Clinical Supervisor (CS)
- Compensation:
- $31-$36 per hour
- 4 paid holidays per year
- Requirements:
- Master’s Degree
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Actively working on BCBA supervision hours
- Clinical Sup Competencies
- Caseload Size: 8-15 Depending on Service Needs.
Senior Clinical Supervisor (SCS)
- Compensation:
- $36-$38 per hour
- 4 paid holidays per year
- Requirements:
- Master’s Degree
- 2 years of experience in ABA
- 2 years of supervisory experience at LIFE
- 1 year of supervising mid-level managers
- BCBA supervision hours completed (exam ready)
- Caseload Size: 8-15 Depending on Service Needs.
The Mid-Level Supervisor reports directly to the Clinical Supervisor, or BCBA and supports the oversight and implementation of ABA treatment programs throughout Stanislaus County.
This position manages a client caseload of 8-15 clients; however, caseloads may periodically exceed this number depending on staffing levels, client acuity, and organizational needs. Manages and provides training, support, and mentorship to Behavior Technicians. Responsibilities include assisting with treatment plan implementation, conducting assessments, supporting parent training, monitoring client progress, and maintaining clinical documentation.
Services may be provided in home, school, community, and telehealth settings.
The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, dependable, and passionate about helping individuals with autism and developmental disabilities achieve meaningful outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties- Support the implementation and monitoring of individualized ABA treatment plans.
- Train, mentor, and provide ongoing support to Behavior Technicians.
- Conduct assessments including Vineland, DAYC-2, and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
- Collect, review, and analyze client data to support treatment recommendations.
- Assist with parent and caregiver training.
- Complete clinical reports and documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Clinical Supervisors regarding client progress and treatment needs.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with ethical and professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
Hours and Availability
- Full-time position.
- Hybrid schedule with opportunities for remote administrative work 2 days per week upon completion of probationary period.
- Services may occur in home, school, community, and telehealth settings.
- Schedule may include daytime, afternoon, and early evening hours based on client and family needs.
- Travel throughout Stanislaus County: Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, Riverbank, Oakdale, Waterford, Salida, and Patterson.
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Child Development, Special Education, Speech and Language Services, or a related field.
- Current RBT or BCAT certification.
- Experience conducting Vineland, DAYC-2, and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals ages 0–21 diagnosed with autism and/or developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and active auto insurance.
- Ability to pass background clearance requirements.
- Negative TB test upon hire.
- Must be willing to obtain CPR certification during onboarding.
- Must be willing to provide proof of required immunizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, Child Development, Special Education, Speech and Language Services, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism and/or developmental disabilities.
- Previous leadership, training, or supervisory experience.
- Experience providing services in home and community-based settings.

- Following successful completion of the probationary period, employees may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement of up to two (2) remote days per week for administrative duties. Approval is not guaranteed and is contingent upon job responsibilities, performance, supervisory approval, and organizational needs.

L.I.F.E. provides services in home, school, clinic, and community-based settings. To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, employees must be able to:
- Lift, carry, and/or assist with children, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Run or move quickly when necessary to maintain client safety.
- Sit on the floor and frequently transition between floor-seated and standing positions.
- Bend, kneel, squat, crawl, stretch, reach, and stoop throughout service sessions.
- Participate in play-based and physical activities both indoors and outdoors.
- Follow clients throughout home, school, clinic, and community environments.
- Respond appropriately to challenging behaviors that may require quick movement, redirection, or implementation of behavior intervention strategies.
- Utilize hands, arms, and fine motor skills to implement treatment procedures, collect data, and complete documentation.
- Perform physical activities necessary to ensure client safety and effective service delivery.

While L.I.F.E. collaborates with families to promote safe and appropriate service settings, employees may encounter household pets, varying levels of cleanliness and organization, environmental odors, insects, and other conditions commonly present in occupied homes that are outside of the company's direct control.
