About The Role
As a Room Attendant in our 40 Housekeeping department, you will play a key role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests. This hourly, full-time position is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring strong attention to detail, consistency in following cleaning standards, and a commitment to excellent guest service. Weekend availability is essential, as this role supports peak business periods and helps ensure that guest rooms and public areas are impeccably maintained at all times.
What You'll Do
- Clean and service guest rooms according to established standards, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms
- Replenish guest room supplies such as toiletries, towels, linens, and amenities in line with department guidelines
- Inspect rooms for overall cleanliness, maintenance issues, and proper functioning of equipment, reporting any defects or damages promptly
- Ensure all assigned rooms are completed within the shift timeframe while maintaining high quality and attention to detail
- Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment
- Handle guest requests and inquiries in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, escalating issues when necessary
- Maintain housekeeping carts, storage closets, and equipment in clean, organized, and stocked condition
- Adhere to key control procedures and protect guest privacy and property at all times
- Assist with cleaning and upkeep of hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces as needed
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team and supervisors to meet daily room assignment goals and special requests
- Work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support business needs and ensure adequate coverage
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or similar experience preferred but not always required
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work weekends and a flexible schedule, including holidays as needed
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing carts, and standing or walking for extended periods
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic English communication skills to understand instructions, safety information, and interact with guests and team members
- Willingness to follow established procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies
- Positive, professional attitude and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction
