Accountabilities:

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving automated testing solutions for financial applications, ensuring high standards of quality throughout the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and architecture teams to promote a strong quality culture and continuous improvement.

  • Act as a QA Automation Engineer focused on payment solutions, with emphasis on Pix-related products and services.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests for Web, Mobile, and API applications.
  • Define and improve testing strategies to increase coverage, efficiency, and reliability of software deliveries.
  • Support developers, QA professionals, and technical leads by promoting quality engineering best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, frameworks, tools, and workflows.
  • Participate in defining and monitoring quality metrics and performance indicators.
  • Contribute to test architecture decisions for complex solutions and integrations.
  • Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to promote quality from the beginning of development through Shift Left and DevSecOps practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and approaches to improve software quality.
  • Help create a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a quality-focused professional with hands-on experience in test automation, software engineering practices, and modern testing frameworks, especially within financial technology environments.

  • Experience developing automated tests using Python.
  • Practical experience with BDD (Behave) methodology.
  • Experience with Web automation using Selenium and Mobile automation using Appium.
  • Knowledge of API testing using Requests and tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
  • Experience working with relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
  • Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka.
  • Knowledge of version control and DevOps tools including Git, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and Azure Test Plans.
  • Experience with Java 8+.
  • Experience using device testing platforms such as Kobiton (Device Farm).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and quality engineering practices.
