Horizontal Directional Drilling Laborer in New Port Richey, Florida at RMC CONTRACTING LLC

We are seeking motivated and reliable General Laborers to join our underground utility construction team. This role involves supporting or operating horizontal directional drilling equipment to install underground fiber optic. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a strong plus and may lead to expanded responsibilities and higher compensation.Key Responsibilities:Assist with or operate HDD equipment including drill rigs, mud systems, and locating systemsSet up and break down drilling equipment at job sitesRead and interpret utility maps and blueprintsPerform potholing and trenching as needed to expose existing utilitiesMix and monitor drilling fluids and ensure proper disposalMaintain clean and safe job sites in compliance with OSHA and company standardsLoad, transport, and unload equipment and materialsCommunicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and utility locatorsPerform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE. Completes other duties and projects, as assigned.Qualifications:Prior experience in HDD or underground utility construction preferredAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasksStrong work ethic and willingness to learnValid driver’s license requiredCDL (Class A or B) strongly preferredAbility to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checkKnowledge of Ditch Witch, Vermeer, or similar HDD equipmentAbility to travel to various job sites as neededPreferred Skills :Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Experience with utility locating equipment, OSHA 10 or 30 certification and First Aid/CPR certification
