Lead, Product Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead, Product Manager based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead product strategy and development for solutions that create meaningful impact in education and learning environments.
You will own products throughout the entire lifecycle, from discovery and roadmap planning to delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
The position combines user-centered design, research-driven decision-making, and cross-functional leadership.
You will collaborate with engineering, design, research, content, operations, and leadership teams to transform complex challenges into impactful products.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the complete product lifecycle for one or more products or product portfolios, including discovery, strategy, roadmap development, delivery, launch, evaluation, iteration, and long-term optimization.
  • Define product vision, strategy, priorities, and success metrics by combining user research, stakeholder insights, organizational goals, and performance data.
  • Lead product discovery initiatives by engaging users, educators, internal teams, and external partners to identify needs, validate assumptions, and shape product direction.
  • Translate complex problems and research findings into clear product requirements, prioritized roadmaps, and actionable development plans.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, research, content, operations, marketing, and leadership teams to deliver impactful and user-focused products.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate product performance, identify improvement opportunities, and guide future investments.
  • Navigate uncertainty by evaluating tradeoffs, solving complex problems, and recommending strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Communicate product vision, decisions, progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted product leader by strengthening product practices, encouraging collaboration, and influencing decisions without direct authority.
  • Champion diversity, belonging, inclusion, and equity principles throughout product discovery, design, development, implementation, and evaluation processes.
  • Establish strong foundations for new product initiatives by creating team structures, collaboration practices, and strategic frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Business, User-Centered Design, Education, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive product management experience leading complex, cross-functional products or initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing products across multiple lifecycle stages, including discovery, development, launch, measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments while balancing strategic thinking with execution.
  • Experience using analytics, user research, stakeholder feedback, and performance data to prioritize product decisions and measure outcomes.
  • Proven ability to identify user needs, evaluate opportunities, and define product direction in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong experience influencing cross-functional teams and building alignment without direct reporting authority.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong background in research-driven and user-centered product development.
  • Ability to translate complex user and organizational challenges into actionable product strategies.
  • Experience creating new products from concept through launch and/or optimizing mature products is preferred.
  • Experience in education, nonprofit organizations, curriculum development, research-driven products, or related fields is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative product development methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable digital products.
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
