Director, Product Management - Commercial Digital

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Product Management - Commercial Digital based in the United States.

This leadership role is responsible for shaping product strategy, driving innovation, and managing the development of digital solutions that support business growth and customer needs. You will lead product initiatives from strategy through execution, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products and improve market performance. Working closely with sales, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and marketing teams, you will ensure product strategies align with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong product management expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex organization. This position offers the opportunity to lead high-impact digital product initiatives while managing a team of product professionals. You will play a key role in accelerating growth, enhancing customer experiences, and building competitive solutions in a dynamic financial services environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute product strategies that support revenue growth, profitability, customer engagement, and market expansion across assigned product lines.
  • Lead product development initiatives, including research, design, planning, prioritization, launch execution, and ongoing optimization.
  • Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and identify evolving customer needs to inform product strategy and innovation opportunities.
  • Define product positioning, packaging, pricing strategies, and promotional approaches to improve adoption and business performance.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to deliver successful product outcomes.
  • Manage product performance through established metrics, including revenue growth, profitability, retention, cross-sell opportunities, and customer adoption.
  • Oversee product line profitability and contribute to strategic planning related to business growth and financial objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, industry contacts, and vendors to maintain competitive product offerings.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, providing direction, coaching, feedback, and opportunities for professional development.
  • Develop education and communication strategies to support adoption of new and existing products among customers and employees.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership regarding product opportunities, market trends, and business priorities.
  • Ensure responsible risk management by following established policies, identifying potential risks, and promoting strong governance practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant product management, marketing, digital product, or financial services experience.
  • Proven experience leading product strategy, development, and lifecycle management for complex products or solutions.
  • Experience managing professional teams and developing talent through coaching, feedback, and career support.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, customer needs, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, assess opportunities, and make strategic product decisions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence partners and decision-makers outside of direct reporting relationships.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable product strategies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
