Job Description
National Jewish Health is currently seeking a Senior Associate Director, Development & Fundraising in our Southeastern Region. Our regional office is located in Boca Raton, Florida. The selected candidate will report to the Director of Development for the Southeast US. The Senior Associate Director position offers a flexible work model that supports a blend of in-office and remote work with a 20 – 30% travel requirement. The position is integral in developing philanthropic partnerships with individuals and foundations to further the mission of National Jewish Health’ to heal, to discover, and to educate as the preeminent non-denominational health care institution.
The ideal candidate will have a development background in securing major gifts at the five and six-figure level. Ideal candidates will be comfortable talking to prospects who have the capacity to make a seven-figure gift. Experience building a robust fundraising portfolio of donors is expected. Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, experience in putting together fundraising proposal packages, and the ability to develop strategic internal and external relationships are essential to qualify for this position.

Position Summary
Identify, cultivate and solicit donors and prospects capable of giving major, planned, capital, endowment, annual or event support. Works with Trustees or other volunteers and creates and implements strategies for donor cultivation and engagement. Develops a fundraising plan to meet defined revenue and activity goals.
