Class A Flatbed Driver at Mack Industries Group – Mount Vernon, Ohio

Objective

Mack Industries is looking for an experienced Class A CDL driver with experiences in flatbed transportation. In this position one will travel regularly to safely deliver engineered and NPCA specified precast/prestress products.

Position requires local travel, home each night!

Starting wages $27-$30/hr, can exceed with Experience!

Essential Functions

• Transport high quality precast/prestress products that meet engineering and NPCA specifications
• Safely and efficiently transports products to a variety of job sites and environments
• Assist forklift/crane operator in loading concrete products for delivery
• Ensure products are properly secured for transportation
• Follow company and DOT safety regulations
• Assist contractors with unloading of product as needed
• To ensure timely deliveries, follow predetermined routes
• Utilize ELD to document daily vehicle and safety inspections and other required maintenance tasks
• Communicate effectively with dispatch throughout the delivery process
• Perform safety and material inventory before leaving the facility and/or job site
• Reports all safety violations and incidents to Management
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment before leaving the facility and/or job sites
• Willingness to develop new skills and progress current skills
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years’ experience
• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Flatbed experience a plus
• Able to haul oversize and heavy loads
• Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Environment Conditions and Physical Strain

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., on occasion
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to squat, crawl, climb and kneel to complete tasks
