Position Summary

We're seeking a detail-oriented Deburring Technician who takes pride in delivering flawless finished products. At Addison Precision Manufacturing, the final touch makes all the difference. Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precision deburring operations on machined components including filing, sanding, deburring, cleaning, grinding, masking and polishing parts in accordance with standards set by Addison Precision Manufacturing and the customer.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using various hand tools and equipment
  • Inspect parts for compliance with customer specifications.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify part quality.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work completed.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Follow safety protocols and proper PPE requirements.
  • Handle delicate and high-value components with care.
  • Report any quality concerns to supervision.

Qualification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED Required; Trade/Vocational certificate in precision machining a plus!
  • 1+ years’ experience in deburring or finishing operations.
  • Experience in aerospace parts finishing a plus!
  • Ability to solve problems, think analytically and critically.
  • Experience using hand tools and deburring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Reliable and consistent work ethic.
  • Knowledge of measurement instruments.
  • Experience using manual and electric hand tools and machines.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Environment & Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk and hear.
  • The job may involve prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May involve prolonged periods of magnified inspection (eye strain).
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
  • The employee is frequently required to use the computer.
  • May involve the use of oils and solvents.
  • Subject to some soilage and irritation from cleaning solutions. (Lab Coats provided)
  • Generally, works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such.
  • Safety Glasses are required and may require area specific safety training
  • This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the production process.
