About This Position

Join our team and help keep patients and staff safe. As a Mobility Technician, you’ll assist nursing staff with patient handling and lifting tasks, ensuring safe and comfortable movement for patients who need extra support.

What You’ll Do:

Perform total body transfers such as bed-to-chair, bed-to-gurney, and floor-to-bed lifts.

Reposition and assist non-ambulatory patients using proper equipment and techniques.

Make regular rounding visits (about every two hours) to support patient mobility needs.

Perform passive range-of-motion exercises as needed.

Communicate patient observations and safety concerns to nursing staff.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.24 – $26.90 Qualifications Education:
    High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
    Prior experience in healthcare is preferred. Direct patient care setting, preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
    Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire. CPI must be acquired within ninety (90) days upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    Safely perform/assist with inpatient lifts/transfers, moves, positioning, and ambulation in coordination with the Patient Care Service. Prepare accurate and timely documentation related to patient care. Observe, report, and document questionable patient conditions to the RN on duty. Respond to requests promptly and make rounds at designated stations on an ongoing basis throughout the assigned shift. Maintain and enhance team service through team building with Nursing and other departments. Identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of services continually. Participate in staff meetings. Complete required continuous training and education, including department-specific requirements. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served within the unit. Work independently with the ability to initiate interactions when needed for assistance or support. Provide personable and professional customer service. Train and assist with patient lifts and other patient handling maneuvers, as delegated by the supervisor in collaboration with the client staff. Utilize patient handling equipment, transfer devices, and protective equipment in compliance with hospital policies and patient handling protocols while using proper lifting techniques and body mechanics.
