Clinical Therapist I (Registered Associate) at Greater Hope Foundation for Children Inc. – Victorville, California

The Clinical Therapist must have strong clinical skills in working with children that have been emotionally and physically abused children included, but not limited to treatment of mental disorders, learning disabilities, cognitive and behavioral problems. Modalities of treatments utilized but not limited to Cognitive Therapy, Individual, Child therapy, Family therapy and Group therapy. This Clinical Therapist will consult with the Assistant Clinical Director to ensure quality and ethically sound services that also maintain compliance with State and Agency regulations.

Starting Salary: $72,000

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and treatment plans to clinical staff regarding psychological and or emotional problems, such as stress, substance dependency and or family situations.
• Provide clinical assessments and treatment plans to clients with mental and physical behaviors
• Participate in and provide support groups and classes to the community and clients of the agency
• Provide clinical treatment or behavior modification and stress management to clients and their parents.
• Review goals and treatment plans with clients/parents
• Provide progress reports for Department of Children and Family Services and other referral sources
• Participate in and provide support groups and classes to the community and clients of the agency
• Provide and utilize and referrals to community resources
• Provide other duties not limited to aforementioned

Qualifications

1. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage, Family and Child, and or other related fields.
2. Maintain a current AMSW, AMFT, APCC registration with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS).
3. Must meet Community Care Licensing and insurance requirements.
4. Strong Clinical Skills in providing psychosocial assessments of children and parents
5. Inspiring, Self-Starter. Ability to work with a sense of autonomy and at times be a team innovator.
6. Good communication and organizational skills with focus on attention to detail
7. Must pass and remain current in CPR/First Aid.
8. Must be able to effectively utilize computers and basic computer software.
9. Must have a valid California Driver’s License and a good driving record. Must be at least 18 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience.
10. Willingness to work evenings and weekends is essential. Must have availability to serve children outside of school hours.
11. A Greater Hope includes all employees in the DMV pull notification process, notifying AGH of infractions throughout the process.
12. All Employees are required to report all arrests within 48 hours of arrest as per Community Care Licensing requirements.
13. Must pass a drug screen, physical exam, and Tuberculosis skin test.
14. Be able to obtain Criminal and Child Abuse Clearance from the State of California/Department of Justice.
