About This Position
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Youth Vehicle Driver/Monitor is responsible for operating a six or nine-passenger Boys & Girls Club vehicle to transport youth from school to the Clubhouse, assisting with the maintenance of Club vehicles and ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers. May be assigned a school site to supervise/monitor and interact with youth while waiting for the BGCGRR Club Van. May occasionally be needed to work with youth in the Club after completion of the scheduled route. This position follows the Redlands Unified School District Academic Calendar.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff, Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:Exposure to various types of outdoor weather conditions
