About This Position

Position Description: Cumberland Gotham is looking for a versatile Mammography Technologist who is also proficient in general X-ray imaging. This position requires a dual-skilled professional who can balance mammographic procedures with general radiologic exams. The successful candidate must demonstrate continuous experience in mammography, with at least 200 completed cases and a passion for providing excellent diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with ACR and FDA standards

Perform general X-ray exams when scheduled or as required by department needs

Ensure equipment functionality, quality control, and documentation compliance

Maintain clear and accurate records in RIS/PACS systems

Engage with patients compassionately, ensuring clear communication and emotional support

Participate in occasional weekend coverage (minimum one Saturday/month)

Required Certifications & Licensure:

Current ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography

Active Radiologic Technologist license issued by NYSDOH

Required Experience & Skills:

Documented history of at least 200 mammography cases within the last 2 years

Ability to switch between mammographic and general radiographic techniques efficiently

Experience using modern digital imaging systems and PACS

Excellent adaptability, multitasking, and interpersonal communication

Comfortable with virtual interviews during the hiring process
