Job Description
Purpose:
The Salesforce Administrator leverages both technical expertise and deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform to optimize and automate sales and student operations. By ensuring a seamless, user-friendly experience, the Administrator empowers students, faculty, and staff to navigate the college journey from admission to graduation. This role is pivotal in translating data into actionable insights and supporting interdepartmental success through innovation and technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize Salesforce systems to ensure peak performance, reliability, and security for all users
- Configure, upgrade, and integrate Salesforce with other platforms, including Student Information Systems (SIS), to streamline workflows and data exchange.
- Manage user roles, profiles, permissions, and workflows to support organizational needs and data security.
- Import, cleanse, and maintain data related to leads, contacts, and other key records, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for sales, academic, and administrative teams.
- Implement and support AI-powered features such as predictive analytics, automated workflows, and intelligent recommendations to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Perform regular database maintenance including diagnostic tests, duplicate management, and system health checks.
- Evaluate and deploy new Salesforce releases, ensuring compatibility and training users on new features.
- Document processes and system changes, including error reports and updates to field history tables.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision-making.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make aesthetic and configuration adjustments to forms and documents.
- Respond to individual and stakeholder requests, routing them to appropriate support teams as needed.
- Provide support for non-critical issues.
Other Responsibilities:
- Work with other developers in conjunction with our SIS integration.
- Lend support to web development.

Competencies/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Salesforce, inc. platform knowledge, working knowledge of technical subjects including HTML, CSS, OOP, Apex, Visualforce and other Salesforce technologies to customize and integrate it to other systems.
- Data management principles including modeling, data quality and data security – leading to the integrity and security of the date altogether
- Problem solving skills. An ability to troubleshot issues, analyze/identify problems and implement solutions
- Collaboration with other Salesforce platforms cross functional teams.
- Must be able to work both independently and as a team.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors Computer Science, IT or related field. Equivalent range experience can be considered.

- Salesforce, inc. Certification

- Microsoft 365, collaboration tools including: Teams, Zoom, Outlook
- Various Operating Systems including Windows, and macOS
