Description:

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
Measure, mix, count out, label, and record medication dosages.
Receive and confirm prescription orders from patients and medical professionals.
Enter patient and prescription information into pharmacy computer systems.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Manage pharmacy inventory and place orders for stock as needed.
Answer customer questions, provide information about medications, and direct complex inquiries to the pharmacist.
Process insurance claims and resolve any billing issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Comply with all regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA and pharmacy laws.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent is preferred.
State licensure
Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Proficiency in pharmacy software and computer systems.
