Description:
The Clinical Supervisor supports and supervises clinical staff in providing high-quality patient care and ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and best clinical practices. This role provides mentorship, facilitates training, and maintains a collaborative work environment under supervision of Director of Patient Services DPS. This position serves as acting DPS in the absence of the DPS.
- Supervision & Leadership:
- Provide oversight and guidance to clinical staff, ensuring adherence to professional standards and protocols.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss case reviews, challenges, and best practices in absence of DPS.
- Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating clinical personnel.
- Act as DPS in absence of DPS
- Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Assist Director of Quality Compliance with all relevant legal, ethical, and accreditation standards.
- Clinical Training & Development:
- Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Facilitate clinical workshops to enhance staff skills.
- Support staff in obtaining and maintaining necessary certifications and licensure.
- Patient Care & Case Management:
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Address patient concerns and ensure high standards of service delivery.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of supervision, training, and staff performance.
- Assist with scheduling and workflow management to ensure adequate coverage.
- Report clinical outcomes and operational concerns to upper management.
- Education: BS Nursing with supervisory experience.
- Licensure: Active NY state nursing license.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Knowledge of clinical best practices, ethical guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to mentor, train, and support clinical staff effectively.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare systems.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Requires on-call hours
- Work setting includes both office and patient homes
