Pest Specialist at PALMETTO EXTERMINATORS LLC – Owings Mills, Maryland

A Pest Specialist is responsible for inspecting customers’ premises, advising them on possible treatment options and cleaning the environment from items that could draw pests to the area. Ultimately, you will be able to identify which type of insect or animal you come across to help customers get rid of them more effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect property to ascertain possible sites of pest invasion and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent infestation.
• Identify invading pests.
• Apply chemical solutions, powders, and granules on or near surfaces of a building or house to eliminate pests.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed for application and reentry.
• Utilize appropriate protective gear and equipment during application.
• Set mechanical traps and place bait.
• Keep service vehicle organized, professional, clean and follow all regulations.
• Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials in company vehicle.
• Participate fully in training opportunities provided to enhance knowledge and experience.
• Respond cooperatively with requests for help from fellow members and management.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills and comfort in customer interactions.
• Willingness to learn and undergo paid training.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
• Full-time availability.
• Must pass background and drug screening.

We offer 401K, PTO, health/dental insurance, and we provide company work vehicles to all of our Pest Specialists. This is a Full-Time position and is fully onsite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: After your paid period of training, the position will transition to a commission-based compensation structure.
