Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Equipment Manager with proven experience in the film or television production industry. The Equipment Manager will oversee all aspects of our gear inventory—from preparation and maintenance to on-set delivery and post-project returns. This role is essential to keeping our productions running smoothly and ensuring our crew has the reliable tools they need to bring stories to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full inventory of cameras, lighting, audio, grip, and other production equipment
• Prepare and package gear for shoots according to production needs and crew preferences
• Conduct regular maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of all equipment
• Track gear check-outs, returns, and damages using inventory software
• Coordinate rentals and sub-rentals when needed
• Maintain the equipment room in a clean, organized, and safe condition
• Stay up to date with new technology and recommend upgrades or replacements
• Support the production team with occasional on-set gear setup or delivery
• Work closely with producers, DPs, and crew to ensure gear compatibility and readiness
• Enforce safety protocols and equipment usage guidelines

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing equipment in the film, TV, or video production industry
• Strong understanding of camera systems (RED, Sony, Canon, etc.), lighting kits, audio gear, and grip equipment
• Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and workflows
• Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 50 lbs)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with creative teams
