We are seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Activities Assistant / Passenger Vehicle Operator position. In accordance with the general oversight of the designated supervisor, facilitate support for participants at the adult day center. This position provides activity program support including leading small to large groups (indoors and outdoors) programs in crafts, exercise, cognitive and physical games, and field trips; assists clients with activities of daily living including dressing, toileting, hygiene, eating meals, drinking and walking; assist with special event support to include furniture set up; transports clients to and from centers; assists clients in boarding/exiting vehicles. Successful candidates should have strong communication skills, be able to work in a team, have excellent customer service skills, and perform well in a dynamic environment.

We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
• Eastern Loudoun Adult Day Center, Ashburn, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provides transportation services for clients.
• Keeps the vehicle in a condition that is both safe and operational.
• Facilitates client participation in activities, whether in small or large groups.
• Provides support to clients at the Adult Day Center in performing activities of daily living.
• Provides support for program activities and special events at the Center.
• Other essential duties related to the specific role and departmental assignment may also be performed.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• One year of experience in direct engagement with senior adults.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Personal Care Aide.
• Serv Safe Certification.

Must undergo criminal and DMV background checks and complete a pre-employment drug screen before hire. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required, with driving records subject to annual review to ensure ongoing eligibility. Within three months of employment, an individual must obtain a CDL (Class C with Passenger endorsement) learner's permit, and a full license must be achieved within six months. Must comply with the DOT regulations and Alcohol and Controlled Substance Testing Policy for Transportation Employees. First Aid, CPR, and AED certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment. Additionally, OSHA training regarding bloodborne pathogens is required within 30 days of employment. Complete the necessary training mandated by the County. Must provide Sworn Disclosure Statement before hire. TB test is required no earlier than 30 days before or no later than seven days after hire. Within 60 days of hire complete the required PCA (Personal Care Assistant) course. Annual DSS-required training must be completed.
