RN Educator Clinical - FT Days in Mt Vernon, Illinois at Deaconess Illinois

Summary

The RN Clinical Educator is a clinician with a high degree of knowledge, skill, and competence in a specialized area of nursing. This position is responsible for the organization, administration, continued development, evaluation and effectiveness of educational programs presented to hospital and physician clinic staff.

Position Qualifications

Education:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical/surgical nursing area. Demonstrated ability to work in a collegial and collaborative relationship with other health care team members in the promotion and provision of comprehensive patient care. Mastery of principles and practice of nursing required. Mastery of adult education techniques preferred. Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills using the English language required. Independent judgment, organizational ability and initiative are required. PC skills for word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software required.

Licenses/Certificates:

Registered Nurse License in the State of Illinois. Must possess current card from the American Heart Association for Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred. BLS and ACLS Instructor status preferred.
