This person is an integral part of the Business Office and will manage the short-term cash management of the school, student tuition and billing, and accounts receivable/payable functions. The Manager of Student Accounts & Cash Management will work closely with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer.

POSITION SUMMARY |
The Manager of Student Accounts & Cash Management handles the short-term cash needs of the School, student tuition and billing, and accounts receivable/payable functions. Provides project management for Controller and CFO as requested.

DUTIES:
Accounts Receivable
• Process and track enrollment contracts and report status to admissions office
• Set up new students in student billing system
• Meet and consult with parents regarding tuition charges and payment procedures
• Set up tuition invoice schedules under various payment plans
• Process and invoice all incidental student charges
• Enter and post tuition deposits to student accounts
• Contact and collect outstanding accounts and report issues to the CFO
• Coordinate production of delinquency letters and status reports
• Coordinate with financial aid office to ensure aid is properly applied to student accounts
• Prepare annual invoices for scholarships
• Prepare various aging and tuition schedules for monthly reconciliation and year end audit
• Prepare annual truth in lending statements for families
General Ledger
• Prepare monthly account analysis on various general ledger accounts
• Prepare general ledger entries as required
• Perform bank reconciliation
• Assist Controller with various schedule preparation and duties as required
Other
• Prepare quarterly sales tax returns
• Petty cash balancing
• Balance rental payments to rental management system on a monthly basis
• Prepare and update accounting policies related to accounts receivable, as needed
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum Associates Degree or 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be organized and detailed oriented
• Ability to problem solve and multi-task
