Job Summary:
- Maintains a safe and comfortable environment for patients, intervening as appropriate. Reports observations and actions to the charge nurse.

Education:
- Position requires a bachelor's degree, preferrably in Mental Health, Psychology or other related area of study.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:
- None Specified

Experience:
- Willing to accept new graduate to train, but 2-3 years related experience is preferred.

Other Requirements:
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all patient populations.
- Ability to appropriately apply restraint and seclusion procedures when necessary.
- Ability to process patient information and perform assigned duties in a confidential, professional and empathetic manner.
- Ability to operate internal computer systems and applications to effectively accomplish assigned duties.
