MARKETING & EVENT COORDINATOR JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of the Sales and Marketing Team, this position is responsible for supporting the successful contracting and delivery of golf and non-golf contracted events and outings. The primary objective is to provide the customer with a superior experience. Included with our standard compensation package, the Marketing & Event Coordinator will be eligible for commissions and bonuses, based on sales and other pre-defined SMART goals. Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promptly responds to event inquiries from prospective clients, gauges need and interest, and responds with appropriate overview materials.
• Assists with organization and execution of client folders and event contracts.
• Completes and distributes Event Function sheets for contracted events.
• Utilizes Event Pro 360 Calendar to block dates and upload contracts and Event Function sheets.
• Coordinates with the Golf Operations staff to block event dates on the tee sheet.
• Coordinates with the Food and Beverage department staff with events dates and details.
• Assists the General Manager/Head Golf Professional with the Annual VIP Outing Client Appreciation Event.
• Coordinates and executes the holiday card mailing to outing clients and club members.
• Adheres to all federal, state, and local laws regarding health, safety, and employment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree (A.A.) or higher in the same or a related field of hospitality management, public relations, or marketing and/or one to three years of experience directly related in a similar position in a golf, resort or hospitality environment. Strong customer service, communications skills, and attention to detail are required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• VA Alcoholic Beverage Control Board - Responsible Sellers and Servers (RSVP) Training
• Valid drivers license
