Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada – Onsite (This role is not eligible for Remote or Hybrid)
Starting Salary Range: $75,000 per year
The starting salary range for this role is a reasonable estimate, with a goal to pay a competitive market salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education and certification, skills, and internal pay equity.
What’s the role?
As a Senior Accountant at NovumHealth, your primary purpose is to oversee and manage the financial operations and accounting activities of the organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and providing strategic financial insights. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in financial management will contribute to the overall financial health and success of the organization.
What you’ll do:
•Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
•Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
•Oversee the general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
•Manage and review accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring proper documentation, timely payments, and collections.
•Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
•Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making, providing financial analysis and cost management guidance.
•Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns and related filings.
•Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
•Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, ensuring compliance and recommending improvements to financial processes.
•Additional Duties as Required
What you’ll bring:
•Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
•Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
•Advanced skills in using accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) for data analysis and financial reporting.
•Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.
•Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey financial information and insights to stakeholders.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
•Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
•Proficient in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other financial software applications.
What you’ll need to start:
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with progressive responsibilities.
•Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred).
•Must pass drug screening and background check in order to start employment with Novum Health.

•Previous accountant experience in healthcare.
