Middle School Hebrew Language Teacher 2026-27 at ElevatEd – New Milford, New Jersey

Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County is a warm, inclusive Jewish Day School that educates children from Early Childhood through Eighth Grade with a vigorous dual curriculum in General and Judaic studies. We are seeking a collaborative, experienced, and skilled MS Hebrew Language Teacher to support students in grades 5-8. The teacher will create and implement innovative instructional experiences for the classroom. The candidate will be a role model who can help foster our students’ personal and academic growth, implement a variety of instructional strategies, and who has familiarity with the latest educational models to enhance student learning for the 21st century.

Responsibilities:

• To teach Hebrew as a second language.
• Maintain a warm, well-organized, safe, classroom environment.
• Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem and independence
• Collaborate with teachers to support differentiation and modify assignments as needed for students.
• Support student growth to foster student development of language skills.

*Experience in teaching with Neta / Bishvil Ha’Ivrit Curriculum preferred

Qualifications:

• Must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Education/ Master’s Degree preferred
• Must have 3-5 years teaching experience

This position is four days per week.

Salary range: $44,000-60,000 Commensurate with exerience
