CpK Interior Products Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician (Electrician) to support our Maintenance team in cross‑functional operational activities. This role is responsible for layout, installation, repair and preventative maintenance of complicated electrical equipment and circuits in a manufacturing environment. Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions with plant equipment using technical expertise on control systems. Familiar with a variety of electrical concepts, practices, and procedures. Apply principles and techniques to accomplish goals in a timely and safe operation, while contributing to SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) objectives.

What You’ll Do (Key responsibilities, not limited to)

  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair all aspects of electrical components and machinery
  • Reference equipment manuals for set-up and operation
  • Knowledge and application of ESA/CSA standards pertaining to electrical safety and safeguarding of machinery
  • Work with the Engineering and Maintenance team to increase efficiency, production quality, and volume
  • Follow safety procedures and comply with all related safety and security regulations
  • Monitor to keep injection molding and assembly equipment in good working condition
  • Adjust production machinery and equipment to provide safe and efficient operation
  • Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance on a timely basis
  • Keep machine downtime to a minimum
  • Work within priorities set by the supervisor with minimal supervision
  • Take immediate action to correct unsafe work acts or conditions
  • Operate equipment safely following LOTO, Working at Heights
  • Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with established housekeeping standards
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose potential mechanical problems and breakdowns using communication devices
  • Repair machinery and equipment as required
  • Report unsafe work conditions or acts to Supervisor immediately
  • Trouble-shoot electrical/logic issues as required for equipment, implementing permanent corrective actions
  • Follows policies and procedures in accordance with EH&S and IATF standards with respect to quality of work, maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and protection of the environment
  • Use judgement to plan and perform repair procedures using standard methods and equipment

What You Bring

  • High School Education with valid Electrical License (309A or 442A)
  • 2-3 years related experience in Manufacturing/Automotive environment
  • Ability to read English, interpret and work from detailed electrical schematics and manuals
  • Experience in trouble shooting and repairing electrical / mechanical problems
  • Robotics, PLC and HMI Experience preferred
  • Ability to work regularly scheduled overtime as required
  • Good communication skills required

Work Schedule & Pay

  • ROTATING DAYS AND AFTERNOON SHIFTS
  • Schedule: 8.5-hour shifts, with mandatory weekend shifts when scheduled as per customer demand
  • Pay: $43.08 - 44.08 per hour, as set out in applicable collective bargaining agreement (CBA)
  • Unionized bargaining unit; Probationary period, wages, shift premiums, overtime, benefits, scheduling, seniority, and wage progression administered per the CBA
