WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN II
We are looking for a highly skills Manufacturing Technician II to be responsible for the assembly and testing of Hydrogen cryogenic pumps and Hydrogen Refueling Station modules. This position will require close collaboration and engagement with cross-functional engineering groups at FirstElement Fuel, including external partners to achieve the most competitive cost of dispensed hydrogen for our network is the ultimate goal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the assembly of electro-mechanical, electro-pneumatical systems or equivalent experience in a medical device, aerospace, automotive, or other technical manufacturing environment
- Able to follow assembly instructions and other company procedures
- Ability to use basic computer applications including, but not limited to:
- MS Word
- MS Excel
- ERP systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; maintains orderly work cells; contributes to the professional presentation of the production area
- Must be able to type using the keyboard of a computer
- Must be able to understand and communicate clearly
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60lbs
- Must be able to use various hand tools and manufacturing equipment including, but not limited to: torque wrenches, impact guns, tube bender, angle grinders, coning and threading machine, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Performs moderately complex assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, a variety of hand tools, test equipment and assembly fixtures
- Produces and inspects assemblies to ensure conformance to product specifications
- Ensures complete documentation of all assembly and test processes performed
- Ability to fully adhere to established Quality System and full understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
- May assist in the training of less experienced team members
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with all established company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED, Associates degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the assembly of electro-mechanical, electro-pneumatical systems or equivalent experience in a medical device, aerospace, or other technical manufacturing environment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The Manufacturing Technician II usually works in a manufacturing environment
- The Manufacturing Technician II works a standard work week but may be required to work some weekends and evenings to fulfill the duties
- This position may require some travel (primarily in California)
PHYSICSAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to type using the keyboard of a computer
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
SCHEDULE + BENEFITS:

The base range for this full-time position is $44.00 - $58.25 per hour + benefits. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work locations and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the hourly base only and do not include any bonus or benefits.
