What is Wild About Music?

Wild About Music is a woman owned - Music Lifestyle store. We carry thousands of gifts, original artwork and apparel entirely dedicated to music and are proud to be a dealer for Luna & Dean guitars and ukuleles as well as unique and handmade music accessories. We are in our 25th year of operation bringing the spirit of music and its celebration in art and gifts to musicians and music lovers worldwide. We are independently owned retail at its best, striving to make a harmonious, safe place for people to work and shop

Pay starts at $14/hour, advancement opportunities are available with tenure.

Daily Duties include:

• Provide excellent customer service to all that walk in, greeting each person individually to make them feel welcome
• Maintain a presentable and clean store. Continuously restock merchandise and clean when appropriate.
• Check in and merchandise product as assigned by supervisor on duty.
• Maintain safety standards by keeping walkways clear.
• Be able to work 8 hours a day on your feet and lift/shift boxes of shipment.
• Love Louis, our store cat.

• Sales experience in a retail environment
• Love and knowledge of music and Austin
• Knowledge of guitars/ukuleles or have an interest in learning about them
• Be comfortable talking to strangers, usually about your shared love of music
• Work and communicate well with staff members
• Be able to lift and maneuver fixtures and product as necessary
• MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 24 Hrs/wk,3 days/Wk Scheduled hours may change weekly but will be a mix of opening/closing shifts between the hours of 10am-10pm
• Since we are in the heart of downtown, parking is tricky to nonexistent, we pay for bus passes.
