POSITION TITLE: Chop Gun/Gel Coat Operator

Precision Tank, LLC 2280 16th Ave. N Humboldt, IA 50548FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:Precision Tank, LLC seeks a Chop Gun/Gel Coat Operator at their production plant in Humboldt, IA. Duties: Operate composite chop gun & gel coat machines to manufacture multi- layer composite tanks; position is application-focused & specializes in spray application. Apply chemical veil, chop, & gel coat to specification; apply mold release agent when needed; verify equipment readiness, including glass-lined equipment, & ensure adequate supply of raw materials; maintain proper resin and hardener mix; control thickness at all stages, especially careful at flange to ensure proper fit; assist in attaching bottom to tank shell after shell completion; remove completed parts using cranes; perform hand lay-up operations as required; complete quality and regulatory documentation; maintain clean work area; and perform related duties as assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or GED and 18 months of fiberglass production experience; OR 24 months of fiberglass production experience with no education requirement. Other Skills/Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs.; ability to read & comprehend correspondence/instructions; perform basic reading, writing, & math; solve routine problems.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GED and 18 months of fiberglass production experience; OR 24 months of fiberglass production experience with no education requirement.
