Food and Beverage Supervisor - Modern Love (at the Fairlane Hotel)
Hourly | Benefits Eligible | Nights and Weekends Required
Position Summary
The Food and Beverage Supervisor oversees all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining profitability, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and operational expertise in a fast‑paced hospitality environment. The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for staff development, scheduling, menu planning, hands-on service, and guest satisfaction. The role also involves collaboration with culinary, events, and hotel leadership teams to drive revenue, enhance guest satisfaction, and continuously improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Oversee all operations, ensuring a smooth and professional service with strong communication from all departments.
Leading the team by example by taking guest orders, running food and drinks, and jumping into action when assistance is needed
Conduct pre-shift meetings to set expectations and tone for the shift, communicating any noteworthy changes or memos, and any other additional notes that are needed in the moment.
Maintain open communication and professional relationships with your team to enable space for collaboration and operational troubleshooting.
Manage and monitor inventory needs.
Ensure guest satisfaction with all aspects of the dining experience.
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring positive resolutions and maintaining brand standards.
Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety and alcohol service.
Conduct daily inspections of workspaces and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Evaluate restaurant equipment periodically for repairs and maintenance; report as needed.
Maintain accurate sales records and track cash receipts.
Input all tips into the tip sheet promptly and correctly after shifts.
Submit end-of-shift notes promptly and with necessary detail.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in food and beverage operations; 1+ years in a supervisory role preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Experience in servant leadership and teamwork.
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with food handling, safety, and restaurant compliance guidelines.
Must be eligible to work in the USA.
Must be willing to undergo a background check.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform repetitive motions.
Must also be able to sit for prolonged periods when completing administrative tasks.
Ability to work over 40 hours per week on occasion.
The Food and Beverage Supervisor’s role is centered around to our on site restaurant, Modern Love, however is not limited to the Modern Love outlet. The Food and Beverage Supervisor may be required to oversee or assist within the banquets and events team, seasonal pop-ups, or other special events as needed.
