Maintenance Worker at Beacon Hill Club – Summit, New Jersey

Join our growing team at the Beacon Hill Club! Beacon Hill is a family-oriented club situated on 9 acres in Summit, NJ. We are looking for a dedicated, responsible Maintenance Worker who can work on all the grounds, landscaping, general maintenance, both indoor and outdoor, at the club, and help set up for event functions. It is a full-time position with variable hours, Monday through Sunday.

Job Tasks and Duties

• Maintain all grounds by keeping them in pristine condition throughout the year, including pavement entrances and snow removal
• Landscaping maintenance: Duties include, but are not limited to, cutting the lawn, trimming, and edging around walks, curbs, planting beds, and walls, using appropriate grounds maintenance tools
• Set up tables, chairs, etc., in the Clubhouse for events and other duties as required.
• Assist on building ice rink and tennis courts, will be trained.

Required Skills

• Team player who is punctual and reliable
• Must be able to follow instructions and be flexible with constantly changing priorities and deadlines
• Experience using maintenance or construction tools to produce high-quality work in an efficient and timely manner consistently

Education and Experience

• Must have 2 years of experience in maintenance; country club or private club experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic understanding of electricity, plumbing, and grounds maintenance

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Walking and standing for extended periods of time
• Lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling equipment and supplies weighing up to 80lbs.
• Exposure to adverse weather conditions
