JOB OVERVIEW

As a Room Attendant, you are responsible for participating in all aspects of the Housekeeping operations and providing excellent customer service. You must maintain high standards in all aspects of internal and external service and embrace the Marriott Brand service culture. You will work with the Guest Services teams. You must ensure you maximize the guest experience by achieving all Marriott & AAA service standards, maintaining consistent quality of service, exceeding expectations and efficiently completing departmental objectives.

Director of Housekeeping and Assistant Housekeeping Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Arrive on time, ready and able to work within performance standards set by management
  2. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor for your shift
  3. Fulfill guest needs within the abilities of the establishment and staff
  4. Inform upper management of any safety hazards, general difficulties, equipment problems, product or ware shortages that may arise when preforming your job up to set standards
  5. Assist in the Rooms operations for the hotel in a safe, sanitary work environment which conforms to all standards and regulations and achieves profitable, competitive, quality products.
  6. Practice and uphold quality, sanitation, and professional standards set by the company.
  7. Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
  8. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
  9. Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
  10. Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
  11. Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash.
  12. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
  13. Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
  14. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  15. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to communicate in English.

  • Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
