Engineering Interns provide entry level support to the Engineering Team and work with a cross-section of Project Engineers, Facilities Engineers and Pipeline Engineers and may interact with operations and construction personnel. Students will gain an understanding of the planning and design process for a project under development and the engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for construction of pipeline and facility projects. Students are expected to have a basic understanding of engineering concepts to help analyze data, solve problems, and assist with system performance. Students are expected to support safety and environmental compliance.

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works both in a business office setting and at project sites. In the course of working at the project site, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, including cold/hot, wet and/or humid conditions, and may work near moving mechanical parts and/or machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration (see physical requirements above). The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office but may become loud at the project site.
