Job Description

Position Summary

Facility Specialist purpose is to manage multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility.

Essential Functions

Corporate:

  • Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) policies and procedures.
  • Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGP Core Values.
  • Complies with all HTGP Certification standards; Management System (IATF 16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety ISO 45001 policies and procedures.
  • Treats all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy.
  • Always strives to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget.
  • Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management.

EHS:

  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment.
  • Consistently meets company safety goals.

Technical:

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients.
  • Coordinates, oversees and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping and janitorial work.
  • Reviews work orders to ensure that assignments are completed.
  • Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.
  • Coordinates and manages moves, adds and change activities.
  • Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Manages capital projects. Prepares capital project and operating budget and variance reports.
  • Manages vendor relationships and trains vendors on work order and billing procedures.
  • Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost center coding.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Leadership:


    Work with HR Team to implement the HR management system.
  • Develop General Affairs Team through OJT, process training and skill development.
  • Assist in any special project assigned to HR Department.
  • Promotes a positive workplace
  • Facilitates facility meetings as needed.
  • Collaborations with third party contractors
  • Supports building and property internal and external audits.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Education

  • High School/GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business field

Reporting

  • Reports to: Machining Assistant Manager or designee
  • Direct reports: None

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architectural Engineering preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience, 5 year more preferred
  • Licensure in architectural Engineering preferred but not required
  • Knowledgeable of applicable building codes, zoning codes and approval process
  • Experienced in managing projects from beginning to end
  • Strong leadership skills – ability to manage and build teams effectively
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Working knowledge of current version of AutoCAD

Other Information

  • Position may require domestic or international travel.
  • OT required as needed.
  • Tier-1 Automotive Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Cross Cultural Experience is preferred
  • Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required.
