Position Summary
The Senior Coordinator plays a key role within USA Triathlon, to serve as the operational backbone of its commercial team. This role supports partnership execution, marketing integration, and cross-functional coordination across the organization—ensuring that partner commitments are delivered with excellence, consistency, and impact.
This individual will play a critical role in connecting partnership sales, business driving initiatives, and fulfillment—building the systems, processes, and insights that enable the team to operate efficiently and scale effectively.
Essential Job Functions
Partnership Fulfillment & Delivery
- Manage and track partnership deliverables to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled accurately and on time
- Support execution of partnership activations across events, digital platforms, and programmatic initiatives
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver high-quality partner integrations across all touchpoints
- Assist in maintaining strong partner relationships through organized, proactive support
Marketing & Partnership Integration
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align partnership deliverables with campaigns, content calendars, and brand initiatives
- Ensure partners are integrated thoughtfully across owned channels (email, social, web, events)
- Track and manage partner visibility across marketing platforms to ensure alignment with contractual agreements
- Support development of integrated activation ideas that enhance both brand and partner value
Data, Reporting & Insights
- Maintain accurate records of partnership deliverables, asset usage, and fulfillment status
- Support development of partner recaps, annual reports, and renewal materials with enhanced storytelling and data visualization
- Track performance of partnership activations and marketing integrations, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Help quantify and communicate partner value through consistent reporting practices
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a central point of coordination across partnerships, marketing, events, and other internal teams
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and communication to ensure alignment on partner commitments
- Support planning and execution of partnership elements at key events, including expos, branding, and hospitality
- Help ensure consistency in how partnerships are delivered across the organization
Systems, Tools & Process Optimization
- Maintain and improve systems used to track partnership assets, deliverables, and reporting
- Develop and manage centralized tools (e.g., asset trackers, timelines, templates) to support team efficiency
- Create and document standard operating procedures for partnership execution and marketing integration
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational effectiveness
Inventory & Asset Management
- Track and maintain partnership inventory, including assets, rights, and integration opportunities
- Support internal planning by ensuring visibility into available and committed assets
- Assist in organizing and updating partnership materials, decks, and activation resources
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Potential to oversee interns or temporary staff, including onboarding and workflow management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience working with CRM systems and/or project management tools (ex: Slack)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with reporting or visualization tools is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and process-oriented mindset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams
- Willingness to travel and support events, including occasional nights and weekends
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, sports management, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in partnerships, marketing, operations, or project management
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- USA Triathlon offers a hybrid work schedule and requires this position to be on-site ( Wed/Thur) at USAT headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO at least two days per week .
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. The employee may be required to exert force to manipulate or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
